Thank you for the interest in having your team enter the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer's National Championship.

Before proceeding further, please download the Team Entry & Information Form (linked here) and compile all the information required to complete it. Once all the data is in hand, one may proceed with the online registration, which does not allow for partially-entered information or advancing to another screen without filling in all the data fields. As a result, the registration process will proceed more smoothly if one is able to complete the printed version of the entry form first.

Additionally, amateur team representatives should review the "Road Map for Teams Entering Open Division Local Qualifying" on page 9 of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Open Division Handbook (linked here) to learn about team eligibility requirements and other helpful points of information.

Entry Deadline: Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at 2 p.m. CT for the Open Division Local Qualifying Tournament of the 2022 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Payment: Via check or money order for $1,200 made out to "U.S. Soccer" and sent so that it is received by U.S. Soccer no later than Monday, Aug. 9. The amount includes the non-refundable Entry Fee ($200) and refundable Performance Bond ($1,000). No online payments will be allowed or accepted. A 24-hour grace period will be extended for those who register their team on Aug. 9 so that payment can be sent via overnight delivery for receipt at U.S. Soccer's office on Tuesday, Aug. 10. Note: Please reference the team name on the payment. Payment should be sent to:

U.S. Soccer
Attn: Open Cup
1801 S. Prairie Ave.
Chicago, IL 60616
(312) 808-1300

Any team whose payment is returned by U.S. Soccer's bank for any reason will automatically be disqualified from the competition.

Other Forms: A completed Venue Declaration Form (linked here) and Home Game Application Form (linked here) (both of which can be sent via email) must be submitted by the same deadline as a team registration entry: Monday, Aug. 9, 2021, at 2 p.m. CT.

Player Rosters: Player roster information will not be needed during the initial team registration phase. The deadline for submitting all player registration data and supporting documentation will be Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at 4 p.m. CT (although submitting earlier is highly encouraged to ensure approval prior to the first qualifying round). The maximum roster size is 25 players.

Registration Instructions: Please review the registration instructions (linked here) to help guide you through the online registration process.

Acknowledgement: Once a team has properly submitted its information, the person submitting will receive an automated email from the system noting the entry. From there, U.S. Soccer will review the entry, check that the team's proposed venue(s) meet minimum field size requirements, record payment once received, and, finally, declare the application either approved or deficient (and the reason for any deficiency so that it may be corrected).
